.toxic is an AR object dedicated to toxic relationships. Two figures connected with each other reflect the relationship of interdependent people, in which one experiences anger, hatred, devastation, but continues to make joint plans for life. Another enjoys the attraction of power and violates the boundaries of a partner. How long will this relationship last? After all, they are not life-threatening and do not cause a direct physical effect on the body, but still cause discomfort, irritation, exhaustion, and depression. Does this couple have enough strength to refuse to poison the life of themselves and their loved ones?
About the Artist
Elizaveta Berkutova (b. 1996 in Severomorsk) is an artist. Graduated from the faculty of monumental and decorative art of Saint Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Baron Stieglitz (Department of Painting). She works with such media as installation, video, 3D, photography, nft, augmented reality, etc. In her artistic practice, she addresses such topics as human inner desires, memory construction, assessment and cognition of the corporality, freedom. Lives and works in St. Petersburg.
