See Chroma is a web application, an interactive audio-visual synthesizer. It sets out audio signals as frequencies and forms an image in which each frequency has its own colour, while the intensity of this colour in the overall picture is determined by the volume of its sound. By moving the mouse up or down you can adjust the size of circles or squares; moving left or right adjusts the definition of contours, making the image more complete.
About the Artist
Denis Starov is a web developer, graphic designer and musician. He graduated from the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Denis is the author of the Chromatone system for the visual study and performance of music. He lives and works in Moscow.
