Kami Usu
About the Artist
Kami Usu (Kamilia Iusupova) (born in Bishkek in 1993) is an artist and curator of new/interactive media, a musician and VJ. In her works she touches on the topics of algorithmic aesthetics, generative graphics and sound art. Currently she is studying for the Technological Art master’s programme at the National Research Technological University MISiS. She lives and works in Moscow. Her works were presented at the exhibition ‘Migrations and the Shifting Borders at the LoosenArt Gallery, ‘Programmable Art’, ‘Liquefied House’ and ‘Eco. Techno. Art’ at the Krasnokholmskaya Gallery, in ‘Barefoot’ at the CSI Fire, ‘Geek Picnic – 2022’, at the ASK / Archive of Sensory Culture Museum, the GROUND Solyanka Gallery, the ‘Night of Museums in the NCCA’, ArtTech HYBRID at the National Research Technological University MISiS, Moscow Urban Forum 2018/2019, III Biennale of Street Art ARTMOSSFERA at CSI Winzavod, the Open Museum, the Electromuseum Gallery, the Peresvetov Pereulok Gallery, etc. She regularly performs with her electroacoustic and visual set at the GROUND Solyanka Gallery, the Centre for Electroacoustic Music at the Moscow Conservatory, the Central House of Architects, the Dom Cultural Centre, the Paper Factory, etc.
