Katya Isaeva
About the Artist
Katya Isaeva born in Karaganda, based in Moscow - is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, graduate of the Institute of Contemporary Art, School of Contemporary Art "Free Workshops" MMOMA, studied at the London University of the Arts (LCC College). Participant of the parallel program Manifesta (St. Petersburg), special programs of the VI Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, parallel and special programs of the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art 2014 and 2016, 2018, 2020, of the international video art festivals (Austria, Hungary, Germany), of many international exhibitions in Berlin, Paris and London, as well as of numerous group exhibitions at the sites of MMOMA and CTI Fabrika. Her works are in private collections in Germany, Austria, Russia and Kazakhstan. The artist creates personal mythology not only in the exhibition spaces, but also in the social networks where she uses all main sensory and physical aspects of reality - visual, auditory, tactile, and others, as well she explores how memory and communication function. In her works she uses ready-mades, which she re-assembles to tell a story.
